Kadant Launches Mobile App for AngleSet™ Gauge
AUBURN, Mass., March 30, 2022 – Kadant Solutions, a division of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), launched a new mobile app for the AngleSet gauge. The AngleSet gauge is used to set the proper angle for doctor, roll cleaning, and scraper blades for improved performance and extended blade life. Using the correct blade angle can optimize the life of the roll.
The AngleSet gauge provides an accurate reading of the blade angle to +/- 0.10 of a degree and features a large-format LCD display. The Bluetooth capability of the AngleSet gauge allows users to record measurements and enter application information remotely using an exclusive Kadant mobile app saving time and increasing data accuracy. The Kadant AngleSet gauge mobile app can be downloaded for iOS and Android devices.
“The mobile app is exclusive to Kadant and provides significant time savings when measuring blade angles with the AngleSet gauge,” according to Scott Borges, product line manager for doctoring at Kadant Solutions. “Instead of taking an angle and manually writing it down, the app allows for historical storage and retrieval of angle measurement for each doctor application.”
