Kadant Solutions Obtains HACCP International Certification

The World Health Organization estimates that 420,000 people die globally from eating contaminated food each year. Over 50 million cases of food poisoning are reported annually with penalties becoming increasingly harsher for vendors. As a global supplier of high-value, critical components and engineered systems used in food processing, Kadant understands the importance of food safety. Earlier this year Kadant’s U.K. operation became HACCP certified. And now, Kadant Solutions Division obtained its Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) International certification for food safety.

HACCP International provides certification for products, materials, and services brought into food processing and handling which meet best practices in terms of food safety. This independent conformance certification provides validation of a product’s ‘fitness for purpose’ within food processing and handling applications.

With this endorsement, the following blades and blade holders manufactured by Kadant’s operations in the U.K. and the U.S. for use in food manufacturing processes now carry the HACCP International food mark.
