Big Ideas Discovered At IDEA16
Earlier this month, more than 7,000 people from around the world descended on Boston for IDEA16, the largest nonwovens tradeshow in the world. IDEA is a triennial show presenting the latest developments in the nonwovens industry. The exhibition and conference was attended by industry sectors ranging from automotive to medical, and hygiene to geotextiles.
Kadant introduced new roll cleaning technologies at the IDEA16 exhibition. Included were the VeriLite™ and VeriKleen™ roll cleaning assemblies specifically designed for the narrow rolls commonly used in nonwovens manufacturing.
The RotoFlex™ resource recovery strainer was also highlighted. The RotoFlex resource recovery strainer separates reusable water from fiber, dirt, and debris and can help recover valuable resources. And with its low-energy requirements, it is a “green” product solution.
Also on exhibit was the M-clean™ cleaning system. The M-clean cleaning system effectively cleans both the fabric surface and deep in the fabric, while ensuring that all removed contaminants are collected and discharged outside the machine. It uses high-pressure water in combination with an effective evacuation and air knife system to ensure optimum cleaning. Its construction and control system is robust, designed for high temperature and moist environments commonly found in the nonwovens industry.
The show and conference were not only well-attended, but were a positive event for exhibitors and conference attendees. We hope to see you at IDEA in 2019 in Miami Beach, Florida.
