Kadant Solutions Launches the AccuChange™ Blade Holder for Harsh Environments

AUBURN, Mass., May 27, 2026 – Kadant Solutions, a division of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), announced the launch of the AccuChange™ blade holder, a roll cleaning innovation developed to reduce downtime, increase consistency, and improve safety for manufacturers processing challenging materials.

“Roll cleaning applications for adhesive and sticky materials require a different approach to blade holder design,” said Anthony Hassan, R&D manager for Kadant Solutions. “As these substances are cleaned from a roll surface, the resulting buildup can migrate into the blade holder, making blade removal for maintenance and cleaning extremely difficult, sometimes requiring an entire shift to complete. We engineered the AccuChange blade holder for a streamlined disassembly process to increase uptime and maintain consistent performance; a gamechanger for harsh industrial environments.”

Unlike traditional blade holders that often require full removal and more extensive disassembly, the AccuChange blade holder was designed to provide quick access for simplified disassembly. Easier blade changes reduce maintenance time, increase consistency, improve safety, and help to prevent issues caused by buildup inside the blade holder cavity.
