Kadant Johnson Accelerates Industry 4.0 Product Development with Appointment of Bill Covell as R&D Controls Specialist

Three Rivers, Mich., January 3, 2020 – Kadant Johnson LLC, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), announced the appointment of Bill Covell to the newly created position of R&D electrical, instrumentation, and controls specialist. In this role, Bill will modernize critical R&D systems with smart technologies to test and develop advanced designs. He will also be the controls and user interface lead for new product development programs.

Bill joined Kadant Johnson in 1996 in the Information Technology group. He has extensive systems and controls knowledge along with Kadant Johnson product experience. He has previously led initiatives in smart connected products, remote diagnostics and prognostics, and controls development.
