Kadant Nordic Awarded Fabric Cleaning Equipment Order from Hiang Seng

Huskvarna, Sweden, July 26, 2017 – Kadant Nordic AB, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), was awarded the order for an M-clean fabric cleaning system from Hiang Seng Fibre Container Company Ltd. of Bangkok, Thailand. The 14 M-clean fabric cleaning systems are scheduled to be shipped later this year for installation on five board machines at the mill.

“We are pleased to have been selected to supply our M-clean fabric cleaning system for this modernization project at Hiang Seng,” said Joakim Ostling, managing director of Kadant Nordic. “Hiang Seng has always been a leader in applying the latest automation and technologies to reduce process variation and ensure consistency of final product quality.”

The M-clean fabric cleaning system utilizes high-pressure water in combination with an effective evacuation and air knife system. The patented cleaning method offers excellent results in removing contaminants from the paper dryer fabrics without leaving moisture streaks or lowering paper quality. To date, more than 800 installations of the M-clean fabric cleaning system have been made throughout Europe, Asia, and North America.
