Tell me about your career path and how you got to Kadant Johnson. 
I started at The Johnson Corporation (now Kadant Johnson) right out of high school as a machinist. I started going to college at night and moved into sales in 1991.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?
Providing customer products that provide longer life and improve production.

What do you think is the most important quality for success?
Listening to the customer and never assuming you know what they need before they tell you.

What do you find the most challenging about developing new business?
Finding a way to provide the best product fit for new customers that will benefit them.

Comfortable and relaxed. Be yourself.

Tell me about your family.
I've been married for 36 years. I have two grown children and three grandchildren.

What do you like to do in your free time and why?
River Kayaking. It's quiet and good to get back to nature.

Do you have a favorite sports team? How did you become a fan? 
Detroit Tigers. As a kid, my family made the trip once a year to the old Tiger Stadium to watch a game. Great memories.
