Kadant Solutions Awarded Workforce Training Fund Grant

AUBURN, Mass., July 30, 2024 – Kadant Solutions, a division of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), has been awarded a Workforce Training Fund grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The grant will provide financial support for organizational development and training programs across various functions at the company.

“We are partnering with MassMEP to deliver training in lean manufacturing, front-line leadership, basic manufacturing skills, workplace organization and safety, and more,” stated Dennis McGugan, director of operations at Kadant Solutions. “The Workforce Training Fund grant supports our goal of investing in our employees through multiple training opportunities focused on workforce development. Providing these learning and development opportunities will enable our team to grow and strengthen our company.”

With the support of this grant, Kadant Solutions expects to enhance workforce skills and knowledge, increase employee engagement and retention, create more efficient processes, lower operational costs, and enhance safety and compliance. “Talent development enables employees to provide higher quality products and services, leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty,” according to Vicki Hunsberger, senior manager of marketing and organizational development at Kadant Solutions.

This project is funded by a Workforce Training Fund grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. The grant program is administered by Commonwealth Corporation.
