Kadant Starts up OCC System at Tangshan Jiluan Paper

Beijing, China, May 13, 2021 – Kadant Fiberline (China) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), announced it successfully started up its OCC system on PM1 at the Tangshan Jiluan Paper Industry mill in Tangshan. The new line has a capacity of 900 tons per day.

Tangshan Jiluan Paper uses 100% domestic recovered paper as raw material and manufactures testliner from the finished pulp. The new OCC line features technology to maximize stock quality with minimum fiber loss and is capable of reducing energy consumption by up to 20% compared with conventional systems.
