Kadant U.K. Exhibits at FoodEx Manufacturing Solutions Tradeshow
As part of Kadant’s ongoing efforts to provide innovative solutions to the food manufacturing industry through HACCP Internationally Certified products, Kadant UK recently exhibited at FoodEx Manufacturing Solutions, which was held at the NEC Birmingham April 24-26.
The exhibition - which is held biennially as part of the UK Food & Drink Shows and in association with Food Manufacture – welcomes food and drink manufacturers from all around the United Kingdom, who are looking for the latest and most efficient manufacturing solutions the industry has to offer.
Kadant took this opportunity to highlight scraper blade systems specifically designed for roll and belt cleaning, such as the VeriLite™ and VeriKleen™ roll cleaner assemblies, and the AccuFlake™ PRO holder. With a focus on increasing manufacturing uptime and productivity, these solutions allow for quicker and safer blade changes, all while reducing maintenance costs.
“Our advanced material technology allows us to provide food safe blades to suit various types of roll covers and belts,” said Michael Williams, Director of Industrial Doctoring and Filtration for Europe, who hosted Kadant’s booth at the exhibition with colleague Philip Eastwood, Industrial Sales Engineer. “Suitable applications are cereal flaking, starch flaking, oven band cleaning, polyurethane, and Teflon® conveyor belts, chocolate refiner rolls, as well as gauge and pinning rolls.”
Liam Foster, Regional Sales Manager for Southern England, also assisted in operating Kadant UK’s booth at the FoodEx tradeshow with focus on featuring Kadant’s rotary joints and unions for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Rotary joints are essential in permitting the flow of steam, water, and other heat transfer fluids from fixed piping to rotating equipment, maximizing heat transfer.
A key product of interest at the exhibition was the RotoFlex™ resource recovery strainer. The RotoFlex resource recovery strainer effectively reclaims white water, heat, chemicals, and fiber from process industries without the use of electrical motors for savings on vital resources such as energy.
